Capacity Building of Personnel on Standards, Standardization, Quality & Management Systems
The Institution provides training in Standardization and Quality Management for industrial personnel with a view of imparting the knowledge required for producing good quality products. Regular training programmes are conducted for all grades of industry personnel from the top management to shop floor worker level. SLSI is conducting such programmes since 1973 and these Training Programmes have proved to be very effective in creating the awareness on Standardization and Quality Management. Furthermore this division has introduced certain activities under the Distance Learning Programmes. Training division conducts over 100 programmes related to Standardization and Quality Management each year.
SLSI conducts Diploma programs per year, namely Diploma in Quality Management and Diploma in Food Quality Management. These programme are designed to impart comprehensive knowledge on Quality Management and Food Quality Management enabling trainees to serve as qualified and confident Managers in the industry.
